Kratos goes silent, watching Lloyd closely. It's easy enough to tell that Lloyd's mood has just nose-dived.

"It... really is alright, Lloyd," he says, slowly. "I'm not upset..."

But then he really notices Lloyd's movements, the way Lloyd scoots away from him, the way Lloyd rolls his wrist. Eye-catching, because Kratos has done it before himself. A reminder that he is free to move as he pleases... Oh.

"I'm sorry for grabbing you suddenly," Kratos says, swallowing around the cold lump of despair in his throat. Of course, he had no way of knowing, but he still feels terrible. "I will do my best to avoid that in the future."

And... he feels bad, putting Lloyd on the spot, but if there's anything Anna has taught him, it's that it's better to be as clear as possible as soon as possible what is and isn't allowed.

"Is it touching that's a problem, or grabbing? Though I will avoid both, if you need me to. And if you are uncomfortable answering, that is alright, but... I do not wish to hurt you, especially not because I am ignorant of your boundaries."
