Sheena doesn't expect Zelos to jolt and reach out as soon as she removes the exsphere, but she realizes her mistake the second he does, heat rising in her face. Of course he'd be anxious, if his life is tied to hers and she'd just pulled something that she's pretty sure would kill a blade, if it was even possible for them to remove their own core crystal. Oops. She doesn't miss the flash of red in the sky either, her gaze darting from Zelos to the horizon and back again, even as something that might have been an echo of his panic hits her.
"Sorry, sorry," she says, hurriedly, as she presses the crystal into the back of her hand again. It sits as naturally as before, looking as much like a part of her as Zelos's core crystal does to him, and she flexes her fingers, focuses on the motion rather than on her own mortification. That's better. But he's at least trying to act like it's fine, so Sheena seizes onto that, mirroring his somewhat awkward laugh. "Yours is at least as weird," she tells him. "I still can't believe elemental forces just work, even without summon spirits to make sure they do."
